Dirt Devil Filter – Dirt Devil Replacement Filters, HEPA, Bagless, Vacuum, F1, Belts, Bags and Parts

In order to ensure that your Dirt Devil Filter is working as efficiently as the day you bought it, it is important that the proper care is taken in replacing the Dirt Devil filter.  Located within your user’s manual, you will be able to determine what kind of filter as well as when and how often it is appropriate to change it according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.  This could be anywhere from six month to a year depending on how often your vacuum is utilized.

Dirt Devil Filter

A quality filter is one of the most important features of any vacuum. The dirt devil filter is what will ultimately determine what the purity of the air being filtered back into your room will be.  It does this by preventing the dirt and dust particles that are taken in by the vacuum from being returned back into the atmosphere.   Maintaining a well functioning filter will not only reduce potential allergy symptoms but it will also increase the life of your vacuum as well.

Dirt Devil filters range in availability from standard to top of the line filters like that of the F1 filter.  The F1 dirt devil filters are a line of filters specifically designed for the upright, bag-less models and are equipped with what are called HEPA filters.  The HEPA technology is essentially filters made from fiberglass that enable the capability of trapping dust particles as small as .3 microns.

Microns refer to the size of the individual dust particle which means an F1 filter has the ability to trap particles as small as three ten thousands of an inch in diameter.  This in turn means that particles such as tiny as dust, pollen, dust mites, mold spores, ragweed and even smoke are sucked in by the vacuum and never returned back into the room’s air.  The standard dirt devil filters commonly used with the vacuums featuring bags are not enhanced with the HEPA technology as it is particularly difficult to prevent all dust particles from returning back into the room while using bags.

Dirt Devil also offers other filters designed to work in accordance with other hand and canister vacuums.  It is important that you refer to the manual and instructions provided with the machine or located on the box in order to determine which filter is appropriate for your machine.  There you will find a variety of dirt devil filter listed suitable to your vacuum as the wrong model could result in an invalidation of your vacuum’s warranty.

How Can I Remove a Blockage From My Vacuum Cleaner Hose?

I have a dirt devil jaguar pet vacuum, and I think the hose is blocked. What is the best way to clear it out?
The hose has is has hard plastic "bent" entry and exit points, like this

and the hose is ridged on the inside. This would make manoevering a hanger around pretty difficult or impossible.
